Deploy your prompt

Deploying your prompt in the Basalt dashboard will allow you to use your prompt in your own applications.

Deploy to production

Once you've created your prompt and tested it thoroughly in the playground, you can deploy it to production.

Go to your prompt Overview and click the "Deploy" button in the deployment section.

A modal will open with the steps to deploy your prompt. Follow the steps to deploy your prompt.

Verify you have your API key. If you don't have it, you can create one in the your Settings.

Enter a unique identifier for your prompt. This will be used to identify your prompt in the API.

Choose your slug carefully as it must be unique within your workspace and cannot be modified after deployment.

Chose the version of your prompt you want to deploy as "production" version.

You did it! Your prompt is now deployed and you can now get it from the API.
